Majority of Americans say they could use more support from others
Recent data on stress is alarming. What feels even more alarming to me is how ‘normal’ the following numbers seem.
-80% of people say they feel stressed at work
-84% of adults have reported feeling at least one emotion related to stress in the past two weeks (anxiety 47%, sadness 44%, anger 39%)
-56% of Americans say they could use more support from others in their lives
While I understand that the world is stressed by simple personal observation (and lived experiences), these statistics were still influential to see the urgency in supporting individuals and teams with tools to help bring more harmony and balance into life.
The American Psychology Association concluded from a 2021 study
“We are facing a national mental health crisis that could yield serious health and social consequences for years to come”
-APA, 2021
While I understand that there is “good” stress that encourages individuals to be productive, all the studies above are reporting unproductive stress that leaves individuals in a physical state of unease and pain.

Oftentimes, we are so focused on the daily goals and tasks within the company that we forget about the maintenance that is required to keep the engine running smoothly and at optimal speed (meaning that the employees within a company are showing up to work, contributing valuable ideas, and helping the team meet their goals).
